What is PTSD? According to the DSM-V (2013), the essential feature of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is the development of characteristic symptoms following exposure to one or more traumatic events.
This understanding represents an incomplete thought. PTSD is more than the development of characteristic symptoms after exposure to trauma. The DSM-V does go into more depth and discussions surrounding PTSD in these words - The clinical presentation of PTSD varies.
PTSD must be looked at beyond a clinical scope and into a spiritual avenue of healing and hope through the whole person if healing and hope are to remain.

Soul wounds cannot be treated with traditional medicine.
PTSD: What is it? Is it a clinical diagnosis rooted in traumatic events which take place on a physical level, or could this be a deeper wound of the soul which needs hope and healing? Tick, PHD calls PTSD “Post Traumatic Soul Distress.' This severe trauma exposure impacts the depths of the very soul and must be looked into for continued insights for the whole person to be healed. As this site is constantly revised, the emphasis will be on restoration of hope and information to the community of those who struggle with such hidden wounds. This will be looked into from a Biblical worldview - seeking guidance and clarification to the impacts of traumatic transference and the influence of exposure to trauma.
The deepest longing is to emphasize a newness to the expression of PTSD - Perhaps it can be considered Present Triumph Spirit Directed? Let’s look into this together.
What others don’t see can still cause harm, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Are you struggling with intrusive thoughts, hypervigilance, involuntary memories? Do you have combat related trauma exposure? As a civilian maybe you have witnessed some horrific event, a tragic accident or have been subjected to violent behaviors which remain with you from a sensory, emotional, physiological and spiritual aspect.
Whatever the trauma may be, consider the soul and spiritual part of you which may be crying out for hope and healing.
